Indirect-fired heat is based on the same principle as your home furnace. The burning of natural gas or propane produces a flame that heats an internal chamber within the unit heater. A fan forces air over the extremely hot chamber and the heated air is then transferred into the surrounding area. These heaters are vented which means that no exhaust gases from the burning of the propane or natural gas enter the heated space.
The gas-fired unit heater is a complete heat generating and distribution plant equipped with automatic safety controls all packaged in a modern streamlined, space saving casing for mounting near the ceiling. |
